Urea for external use has antibacterial, bactericidal, antibacterial, proteolytic, hygroscopic, and mild local anesthetic properties. These effects are dose-dependent. Most of its therapeutic applications depend on its hygroscopicity. Hygroscopicity is due to its ability to cause changes in the configuration of proteins in the stratum corneum. 10% urea cream has been shown to increase the water-holding capacity of fish scales for 100 to 3 weeks after 3 weeks of treatment. There is no information on the percutaneous absorption of urea. The therapeutic effect depends on the local concentration, not the systemic absorption of the drug. If absorbed, urea will be excreted in the urine as it is.
Adults & children over 12 years: It is intended to be used for the symptomatic treatment of heel & foot anhydrosis including in consumers and diabetics.
